No.213 – h#2 by Diyan Kostadinov – A complicated combination between Take & Make and its anti-form! (JV)

Definition:

Take & Make: Having captured, a unit must immediately, as part of its move, play a non-capturing move in imitation of the captured unit from the capture-square. If no such move is available, the capture is illegal. Promotion by capture occurs only when a pawn arrives on the promotion rank as the result of a take&make move. Checks are as in normal chess: after the notional capture of the checked K, the checking unit does not move away from the K’s square.

Anti Take&Make – every capture (“take”)  must be complemented by a further step (“make” – not a capture) by the captured piece (Kings excluded), which must move from its square of vanish (according to the wishes of the capturing side in case of options). The capture is forbidden if the captured unit have not possible move. Promotions at the end of the “make” element are normal.

Amazing multiple bristols !! The B/R pairs seem to be running around all over the board – like kids chasing !

Thank you Ram! Actually I found that the combination of these both fairy conditions – Anti Take & Make and Take & Make is very powerful (and difficult too…) so I hope that many great problems will be created in the near future. The play is very dynamical especialy when all moves are thematic captures.

I have to note something important – in WinChloe between these two conditions the Anti Take & Make is considered first, so first the Captured piece have to moved and after that the Capturing piece.

Let me tell to all visitors (and of course to the creator – Julia) of this excellent website – Happy New Year and to wish all of them a lot of happyness, good healt and success!

Wonderful use of both conditions, a very enjoyable problem!
