1. seetharaman says:

Nice pin mates. There is also 3 diff. selfblocks on b6. Nice!

2. Dmitri Turevski says:

But why gnu? This thirdpin works with knights as well (bSb8, +bPb7)

• seetharaman says:

Good point Dmitri. Seems Gnu is for guarding b7 only!

• Misha Shapiro says:

Or Gnu or third black knight.

3. Luce Sebastien says:

Good problem but there is a “Winchloe cook”
in the third variation :
c)
1.Ré8 é×f7 2.Rb6 f×é8=GN‡
1.Qé8 g×f7 2.Sdb6 f×é8=GN‡
Maybe it is possible to correct that. M.Shapiro, if you want to do that, I can test it on Winchloe. Here is my mail
luceechecs@gmail.com

• Misha Shapiro says:

c)f6=bR
So g6=bP-
Without cooked!

4. Luce Sebastien says:

Very good modification !
Congratulations M.Shapiro !
