  1. shankar ram says:

Nice final mate echoes, reflected across a8-h1 diagonal.

  2. Nikola Predrag says:

    Yes, it’s very nice.
However, the “theory” and realization are doubtful.
“Bicoloured Turton” sounds absurd. The motivation for Turton maneuver is guarding the front piece by getting the other one behind.

The nature of “Maslar” is a re-activation of the interfered piece along the thematic line, by capturing the interfering piece.
Here, bBh8 becomes active on the diagonal after white move which opens(extends) the line h8-e5.
This has the nature of an Indian maneuver. The final capture is relevant for attack along another diagonal.

But, whatever the theory would say, the beauty remains the same.

Repetition of 3…Bd7-c6 with the same purposes, is rather annoying. It would be better to have bB on c6 from the beginning.
The example adds a wQ’s move along the thematic diagonal in b):
    White Sb6 Qd4 Ke4; Black Bc6 Kd6 Rd5 Ba1
    hs#4; b)wSb6-a8
    a) 1.Qg1 Bh8 2.Qg7 Rc5+ 3.Kd4 Rc3 4.Qe5+ Bxe5#
    b) 1.Qb2 Kc5 2.Sc7 Rd6+ 3.Ke5 Rf6 4.Qd4+ Bxd4#
