Interesting… It looks complicated, although maybe not impossible, to go further with 4 CF Knights. The difficulty is that there is not enough place for the last white pawn to do the job, and using a black one is dangerous, as it may be captured directly, without having been promoted.

Yes, Nicolas, 4 Knights was my initial thought but as you may guess there are several technical difficulties and you already mentioned one of them. Another serious difficulty is to prevent that different BPs could reach the promotion squares; in this regard, the trick to makes sound my problem was the placement of Se4!
