Original Problems (130)

I have a feeling as it was just yesterday when I wrote about the problem No.100. Now I’m very happy to write on the Christmas Eve about the problem No.200 ! And even more happy to give this number to the one who supports me so much, helping with the site, tourneys, and my own composition! Please see an original problem which goes with Christmas and New Year greetings from the author –

No.200 – hs#4* by Petko A. Petkov – A very surprising creation of Dentist-mechanisms and a new black batteries! (JV)

Definitions:

Chameleon: On completing a move, a Chameleon (from classical standard type) changes into another piece, in the sequence Q-S-B-R-Q…  Promotion may be to a chameleon at any stage in the cycle.

Black builds batteries on the same lines. But the main accent in the problem is the Miloslava theme (discovered by the author): “Black can not use the battery (cSg7/cBf6) that exists in the initial position. So black destructs (transforms) this battery and creates two new batteries on the other lines using the same battery-figures“. This difficult theme here is combined with Dentist and line-opening for the white Chameleons after the moves 1….g4 and 1…CBd8=cR+. Two other additional elements here: in the set-play we have also an Annihilation capture on h6; in the real play we have a new transformation of the CB/CR black battery into CB/CQ battery! These details are deliberately created by me with a view to be ascribed to task ANI-form, although with additional motives! Model mates in both phases, Meredith-form. Shown for the first time!
