No.77 – h#2 by Seetharaman Kalyan Nice Neutral AUW, although the idea is not so new. (JV)

Definitions:

Super-Circe – When captured, a piece is reborn on any free field on the chess board without causing self-check or selfmate. Possible is also removal of captured piece from the board. The Pawns (white, black, neutrals, half- neutrals) can be reborn on the first or eight row also. When reborn on the first row  (for Black) or on the eight row (for White) the promotion is obligatory. When reborn on the first row  (for White) or on the eight row (for Black) the Pawns are immovable.

No.77 K.Seetharaman
India
original – 08.08.2012
(After C.J.Feather)
h#2                2 solutions        (1+3+2)
Super-Circe

Solutions: (click to show/hide)
AUW, Miniature, Dual avoidance. (Author)
This is after Mr.C.J.Feather’s No.1 in his Fairings 22. In that problem, he had an additional black knight at a5! Because of that, the first solution was 1. Sb3 Kxb3 (+bSc2) 2. d1=nS nSd1xf2 (+nPc1=nR) #.
I think that in my version the solutions are better matched! (Author)

I was interested to see No. 77 – AUW with 2 neutral Ps [1+3+2]. Perhaps Seetharaman would like to see it with a lone bK and no wK [0+1+2] with the help of ChameleonChess. All four promotions are by rebirths. Black cannot escape # by moving the mating neutral piece.[imgcomment image[/img]

An amazing concept to use Chameleon to force single check mate with Neutral pieces (and without pinning effect). A wonderful problem! So much in such a simple position – AUW and echo mates. Can anything better be done with 3 pieces ? I believe that this goes to the orignals.
