Congratulations to Franz for a super quick, but yet deeply thought out and detailed award!
A benchmark for all judges!

Stupendous task of judging so many problems in just two months !! Cant imagine the immense work involved. Congrats to all the composers who contributed such wonderful problems.

6th commendation in section B was published in results of Russian team Championship (5th-6th place) in Šachmatnaja kompozicija 132, November-December 2016 as well.

For comparison with 1 Prize, section B, see:

https://juliasfairies.com/problems/jf-2015-ii/no-975/

In the 1 Prizewinner the same white piece makes both Bristol moves and the same white piece makes both captures.

True, some elements are similar but some are not. I’m not even talking about patterns…
The main geometrical difference is in that fact the pieces are moving away from BK while in 975 we see an opposite feature.

Some elements are similar, but 1115 is independent enough.

1142 was published in October, so before as in Russian team championship.

The first prize of Vitaly Medintsev is a great one! I’m awaiting it in the FIDE-Album!

Typo in the award: 4th-5th HM 1093 Styopochkin doesn’t have 2 solutions
