Definitions:

Superguards: Any piece (including Kings and pawns), which is observed by another piece of the same color cannot be captured. Pinned pieces also observe.

Welcome contribution from Narayanan showing rich Superguards strategy. A random removal of the black rook b7, will permit multiple mates. Specific moves by the rook to different squares (which alone defend the threat) forces single mates with dual avoidance.

Great duel of the black rook and white queen ! Well done Narayanan !
