Thematic complex:
Cyclic black Indian theme realized with Rook, Nygthrider and Bishop who create the batteries B/N (a), R/B(b) and N/R(c) with play of the black battery-pieces on the same field - c2.
Active white king, unpin of the LEf2 with subsequent opening of the black Rook's line.
The white LEd6 opens a line for the white Queen and creates hurdles for the subsequent action (sacrifice with anti - battery effect) of LEf2.

I really enjoyed this new problem by the Bulgarian Grandmaster!
It is very interesting to carefully studied this Meredith both for its idea and contruction.
The idea seems novel: remarkable cyclic Indian theme with c2 as the common square for the three different black batteries.
From the constructional point of view, along with remarkable economy (it’s really amazing how this complex cyclic play has been shown with only 12 pieces!), we should note two aspects: first, the author adds another remarkable fairy strategy seen in the play of the two Leos, with creation of three different Leo/Leo batteries; that adds values to the entire strategy and makes “more fairy” the problem.
The second point relates to the 3rd black moves: after creation of black and white batteries, the mating net was virtually almost done but the 3rd black move has to be shown; the author has succeded in finding an interesting and homogeneous strategy (here the bP moves) and I think this would have been the most difficult difficulty the author had to face.

Excellent idea and matrix, but the twins are not not necessary. It is quite possible to use the same thematic pieces on B3 move, finalizing the cycle of functions. No extra material is needed.

My 4th Hon.mention in this tourney was the start of my attempt at a cyclic battery effect, but I found it tough. That one had mutual anti-battery by both black and white with white critical moves.
