[Black]Minimummer: Black must play his geometrically shortest move or may choose from among shortest moves of equal length, distances being measured from the center of each square. Diagonal and oblique distances are measured from the orthogonal coordinates by using Pythagoras’s s theorem (take the square root of the sum of the squares of the orthogonal distances). All other orthodox chess rules apply. White Minimummer: White must make moves with minimal possible length.

There are of course a lot of solutions between 5.0 and 9.5 moves,
but a solution in 10 moves exactly needs a tempo manoeuver for Black, which
is not easy in Minimummer (first application of this fairy condition in JF).
Key moves from Qd1 are needed to allow a triangulation from Ke8, and those
thematic pieces are finally going back home after capture-less circuits. The
problem is C+ Jacobi.(Author)
