An idea “Distant Grimshaw” – reciprocal interference of Rook and Bishop on two different squares – was proposed by GM Petko Petkov in “The Problemist” (November 2020).
In this hs#3.5, a promoted kind of the idea is realized with some nuances:
- two Black underpromotions in thematic pieces on 1st and 3rd moves with its reciprocal change (as in recent yacpdb/534867);
- White play on the same square for line-opening both on 2nd and 3rd moves;
- very far thematic squares b7 and h7.
