Very static around the black king.
The black king plays the role in the solution through the black half pin. The realized mechanism focuses more on the activity around the white king and doesn’t allow unfortunately much additional action around the black king.
wPe7 is not needed at all, but without it wSg7 is fully idle in one solution.
I confirm that I had some constructional difficulties in the upper-right corner of the board, but I believe that the added thematic content of the solutions (compared to the other versions) still justifies my choice.
I have to accept that all my attempts to improve the setting (including switching to frontal half-pin, like, for example, 5k2/2p3NP/1B4PP/Q2B1rP1/2PRK3/8/5b2/5R2 (cooked)) failed.
It is an interesting approach though. I didn’t try this orthogonal half-pin before, but seems to be failing for just a bit.
corrected.
First, I found a correct position for orthogonal version – 4Nk2/B1p3NP/2P3P1/Q2B1r2/2PRK3/8/5b2/5R2 (b: c7>b4). I was very near to it, but it is not the first time when I see new possibilities after making public my unsuccessful attempts.
Anyway, this is not a big improvement in comparison to your version.
I very much like your problem with transformation of halfbattery. I do not see much of dual avoidance in your original version and the solution when all the black moves and made by same piece feels somewhat dry. So, I consider play here much richer. The only real disadvantage is the twinning, but it is still acceptable in my opinion.
Here I share one interesting version:
White Kd5 Qh2 Rd3 Rh4 Ba3 Be6 Sb4 Sd6 Pg5 Pd7
Black Kf8 Rg4 Bg3 Pg6 Pg7
5k2/3P2p1/3NB1p1/3K2P1/1N4rR/B2R2b1/7Q/8
Twin Move g6 d4
Solutions (C+):
a) 1.Sc8 Rf4 2.Ke5 Bxh2 3.Rd5 Rxb4+ 4.Rf4+ Bxf4# (MM)
b) 1.Sc6 Bf4 2.Ke4 Rxh4 3.Bd5 Bxd6+ 4.Qf4+ Rxf4# (MM)
Some pluses: model mates, Grimshow on f4 (improved interplay), Umnov on f4, 4 pairs of pieces exchange functions, action around bK (W1), no technical difficulties, all pieces are thematic, transforming half-battery to pin, better economy.
Some minuses: no more dual avoidance, no more consecutive white/white Umnov, bPd4 closes the line of the bR.
I would appreciate any feedback on it (especially whether you prefer it over the current version).
Here is the (same) new version from previous post with a diagram.

The new version is better, but it seems like both versions are sufficiently different to stand independently.
