If we could ask the originators of the idea (Balbus+Rothenberg, I think), they most likely wouldn’t be willing to pay out any dollars…
But this is still an inventive and amusing variation on the theme. With the right conditions, even impossible themes may be easy to show.
No of course not. It’s the “$80 theme”!
Unfortunately for the author, it’s been done before: three times in the same tourney which introduced Glasgow Chess, all three sets of composers finding the same position which is more or less the same, except for the mate taking place on h6, rather than a(h)8.
