No.72 – h#2 by Zoran Janev – Anti-Circe strategy created after 3 white under-promotions, vacation of rebirth-squares h1, f1 and b1 and three self-blocks on b5. (JV)
No.73 – h#2 by Zoran Janev – Nice Mars Circe mates with under-promotions from the both sides, black self-blocks on a5/b5 and specific self-pins of black promoted pieces. (JV)
Definitions:
Anti Circe: antiCirce Calvet (the default type): After a capture the capturing piece (Ks included) must immediately be removed to its game array square (necessarily vacant, else the capture is illegal). Captures on the rebirth square are allowed. Game array squares are determined as in Circe. antiCirce Cheylan: As antiCirce Calvet except that captures on the rebirth square are not allowed.
Mars Circe: non-capturing moves are normal, but to capture a unit is transported to its Circe rebirth square, which must be vacant, before proceeding to move towards the captured unit, all as one move.
