From the definition: “Castling is permitted if the king and the rook are on their starting positions (or with Circe-reborn K or / and R) and the squares between them are not attacked by enemy pieces according to the Bolero condition.”

According to this definition, long castling isn’t allowed if b1 is attacked.

And why the strange stipulation in 1416? The reverse position (wKe2 / bKb2 / nPd2, f7) is a regular h#2.5 Bolero.

I assume the Bolero definition is imprecise concerning long castling. In orthodox chess, long castling is (of course) legal even if b1 is attacked; there is no reason things should be different in Bolero.

About Bolero…
Yes, of course, a small correction is needed in all definitions:
“….Castling is permitted if the king and the rook are on their starting positions (or with Circe-reborn K or / and R) and the squares between them (except b1 square at the long castling) are not attacked by enemy pieces according to the Bolero condition”.
Thank to Joost and Kjell!
