The family of short-legged pieces works quite well together here (although d3+d7 could also be ordinary Bishops, and the Dabbaba is merely technical).
There is great unity in the mechanism: Black blocks a5 or b5, which forces a Knight to choose a bad defence instead of a good one (“Beugung” in German – is there an English term?), thereby blocking a flight for his K, producing the pseudo-leGrand change of threat and mate.
Like Juraj Lörinc, I would like to see more direct-mates here! At least if they are as good as this one.
The problem is very nice with logical tries. But does the theme “Obstruction of knight” justify so many different fairy pieces … not sure.
