AntiCirce: After a capture the capturing piece (Ks included) must immediately be removed to its game array square (necessarily vacant, else the capture is illegal). Captures on the rebirth square are allowed. Game array squares are determined as in Circe: R, B & S go to the square of the same colour as the capture; Ps stay on the file of capture; fairy pieces go to the promotion square of the file of capture.
Neutral piece: Belongs to whichever side chooses to use it. It can therefore be moved or captured by White or Black, and in Circe it is reborn according to capture. A King may not be moved onto a square controlled by a neutral piece, because of self-check.
Nicely presentated unique choice of first white move (1…Qh8 2.Qh6?; 1…Rd8 2.Rg6?). Wrong choice would allow Black to block the respective rebirth of a white checking piece.
In one phase there’s even a deeper thematic layer
1…Rd8 2.Rg6? Qa5 3.Qg5+ Rd1+! 4.Qd8!?
where the check/mate to White is uniquely parried by blocking the rebirth of bQ.
So, for instance, bRa6 instead of bSa7 would add such a layer also to the other phase
1…Qh8 2.Qh6? Rb5 3.Rg5+ Qa1+! 4.Qh8!?

Why is Kd6 not a refutation of the try, making the try useless anyway?

Joost, the try should be written as in my previous post, as a wrong choice of first white move.
No, Julia puts a new diagram only when the author(s) asks for it, sending a new version by email. Otherwise, I don’t take anything from the comments myself.

Thancs,Nikola,bRa6.
Julia needs to put a new diagram 1449.1!

Over to Igor, then!
