Definitions:
Triton (TR): A piece that plays as a Rook but captures only as a Locust.
Nereid (NE): A piece that plays as a Bishop but captures only as a Locust.
Locust (L): moves on Q-lines but only by capturing an enemy unit, arriving on the square immediately beyond that unit, which must be vacant.

Simple but interesting echo! Probably in some other scheme, a better method (other than using wK position) can be found to force the marine promotions.
