No.901 by Stephen Emmerson – Impossible position in orthodox. PG in two phases with a seldom-used fairy condition Anti-Circe Equipollents.
A new look of animated solutions uses functions written by Stephen Emmerson (updated page, 30.09.2015). (JV)
Definition:
Anti-Circe Equipollents: When capturing, the piece is reborn as far on from the square of capture as it has moved to get there, e.g. wPb3xc4-d5 (the P is reborn on d5 as b3-c4 is the same vector as c4-d5). The path from the capture to the rebirth square need not be clear, but the rebirth square must be on the board and clear. Pawns and Kings included.
