Definition:
PWC: When a capture is made, the captured unit (except a King) is replaced on the square the capturing unit just leaves. A Pawn is immovable on its 1st rank.

It doesn’t look very PWC specific, as the only captures have unused rebirths … but that is the point!
B1 is motivated the same: Black must move a P so that there is no unwanted rebirth (with self-check and also line-closing) on W3. B2 is motivated similarly, but not exactly the same. In b), the bQ can’t remain at d4 because the wB would be reborn there, cutting the line of bBa7. The only other square from which the bQ can reach g4 but not f5 is h4, where the wB luckily can be safely reborn h4. In a), the choice of B2 is less subtle: the bQ can’t remain at d4 because of 3. – Qd5! as well as the wB rebirth on d4, and the only squares from which the bQ can reach c4 but not d5 are f4 and b4, where the latter would cause an unwanted wP rebirth on d4. There is no unwanted wB rebirth in this part, as far as I can see.
I have the feeling there might be a better scheme for the general idea, which is quite good.
