No.879 by Karol Mlynka – Lacny cycle 3×3 on the same square “h4”. (JV)
Definitions:
Pressburger King (Super-Transmuting King): King which definitively takes up the nature of the checking piece (and thus loses his royal status).
Ultra Schach Zwang: A piece may move only to check. If it doesn’t have checking moves it is stale-mated.
PAO(PA): (0,1) Chinese. Chinese piece operating along Rook lines: moves as Rook, but captures only by hopping over a hurdle to any square beyond.
Lion(LI): Moves along Queen lines over another unit of either color to any square beyond that unit. A capture may be made on arrival, but the hurdle is not affected.
Grasshopper(G): Moves along Q-lines over another unit of either color to the square immediately beyond that unit. A capture may be made on arrival, but the hurdle is not affected.

Seems to be a “refugee” from the recent Marianka TT. Juraj Lorinc even mentions it in the award!
Will the real Pressburger King please stand up?
In Winchloe the definition is given as:
Pressburger : A king can be captured only by the opposite King if he is not mate. =Bratislava
The solution should be corrected to indicate the thematic Black moves on c5 and e5 as 1…Gcc5 and 1…Gee5.
Nice mechanism to cyclically give the WK different hopping powers (G, Lion, Pao) by the same Black moves, based on the WK position on c4/d4/e4. Bonus change after 1..g3+.
But presence of non-thematic Black moves leading to duplication of White thematic checks detracts a little.

Oops! More complicated than I thought..
The correct thematic moves on c5 and e5 are: 1…Gec5 and 1…Gce5 🙂
The king is transformed into different pieces and moves to the same square in each variation. So it is actually a cycle of transformations !
