A great job done by Kjell in the award with his detailed comments, comparisons and analyses.
As Julia said: “More than that, with his huge experience and academic knowledge, Kjell made these three awards a valuable reading, adding so much to the contribution of the composers themselves. What he created, in coalition with composers from all around the world, is really a booklet on FAIRY UNPIN.

Thank you, Kjell! Thank you, Julia! For a great event in these troubled times.

Now, from my side, some statistics! 😉 See below. Click on the image to enlarge it.
Highlights:
Top 3 (Pieces): Lion Family (13), Chinese Family (8), Popular Riders (6)
Top 3 (Conditions): Masand (5), Take & Make (5), Anti-Circe (4)
Surprisingly missing: Equihoppers, Chameleons, Alphabetic, Sentinels

Top 3 (Piece counts): 13-15 (26), Gravure (8), Meredith (7)
Julia, please give a name for the new 13-15 pieces category! 😉
Awarded: 44/59 = 75%

Update to statistics!
Added details (see below) for the number of fairy pieces/families/conditions used (min:1, max:1+2).
Only 1 fairy element was used by:

  • 30 of the 44 problems in the award (68%)
  • 7 of the 9 prizewinners (78%)
  • 10 of the 11 awarded problems in section C, hs#3-4 (91%)

Indeed a great tourney. Most of the problems were excellent and we Indians are happy with so many awards! Great work by the judge Kjell Widlert and thank you Julia for initiating the tourney and doing so much work in coordination and processing the award!
