Original Problems JF-2020/I
|
June, 2020 The judge of JF-2020/I: Eric Huber. Dear friends, I’m sorry for the unstable work of JF during the last week of June! Some changes from the hoster’s side, moving to the new platform, the same way some work I have to do as part of my code is not compatible with the new requirements. |

Julia,
1289 _was_ in the award.
It got 5th commend!
1289.1 is a definite improvement.
Thank you, Shankar! Have corrected my comment (well, Ctrl+F doesn’t work for the images 😊). I believe it is up to the current judge if to accept this problem for the tournament or not.
Julia, Great to see JF back online!
How did you do it?
Dear Shankar, thank you for your support! For now have agreed with the hoster (grateful to them!) about some improvements they made to make it work, awaiting their report to understand what I have to care about in the future too.. this is of consultancy price.
Have got some time to update the code for PHP 7.x myself, will try to.
Tired from reading and learning. Most probably, won’t publish any problems at least for several weeks of July to have time to update the site. I’m not professional; doing finance during the day and learning WP tricks during the nights is not an easy job.
But I’m glad it works now! Of course, the recent events put me almost in panic..
Julia,
It put all of the fairy chess world into a tizzy too!
I looked at the Wayback Machine. But only found a snapshot of 25-Dec-2019!
Hope the next version of PHP won’t create a similar scare 😉
We are there for you.
Normally the hosted SHOULD give you test site months in advance to do d out the issues and correct them. Seems that didn’t happen. Demanding thousand EUR is atrocious
