I haven’t appointed yet the judge for the current period, but glad to announce the future judges:

• (15.09) No.1232.1 – Nicolas Dupont (PG 7.0; Checkmate position, Undefined pieces, Disparate). “The novelty is that this problem is correct, according to a non-official solving program by François Labelle! I also thank Paul Raican for valuable discussions.” (Author)

• (08.09) No.1236 – Joost de Heer (SPG 6.0; Extinction Chess).

• (29.06) No.1234 – Peter Harris (h#3 ; Haaner Chess, TransmutedKings, Anti-Circe Cheylan, Super-Circe, Anti-Andernach Chess). The problem has author’s solutions till Popeye version 4.61, with testing time around 10min., all the next versions show no solutions, and the last version Popeye 4.77 takes hours for testing (JV).

• (04.06) No.1223 – Günther Weeth & Klaus Wenda (-9 & #1 Klan Retractor ; Anti-Circe ; Magic Wandering Unit). The retro-problem is featuring “Der Magische Wanderstein” in English “Magic Wandering Unit” (an invention by my friend Günther Weeth). The rules (=convention) were published for the first time in feenschach 213/2015 in German language. Günther has made an English translation for JF readers (Klaus Wenda). Grateful so much to the both authors for the dedication! (JV)

  Peter mentions that Probleemblad has published many of his problems, but actually he dedicates this problem to Dirk in recognition of his agreeing to be JF’s Retro judge.
  I’m grateful to Peter too, for his care about me and JF. I have to tell also, that Peter’s words reminded me I haven’t appointed a fairy judge for the current period (01.01-30.06.2017) yet. Not only because of being too overloaded this year, but also because of my own work under the award of The Problemist’s Fairy section (2014), which makes me understand too good what a big work I’m asking for inviting a judge. Maybe anybody is willing to? (JV)
